Managing Director
Following fourteen years of deep sea experience on all vessel types and in all ranks, Captain Thomas Brown graduated from Plymouth University with a BSc (Hons) in Marine Technology and Maritime Law before spending seven years working at a senior level in the claims department of a leading International Group P&I Club.
NICK MADDALENA
Director
Nick has worked in the London insurance and reinsurance market for the last 20 years. Immediately prior to his involvement with Seacurus, Nick was Divisional Director of Financial Risks for QBE Europe, where he was responsible for the underwriting of financial guaranty insurance for shipping, aviation and property assets. Nick has a BSC (Hons) in International Shipping and Maritime Law from Plymouth University and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Surrey.
TED ZAIMIS
Account Manager - Marine Special Risks
After 5 years military service and 4 years academic study, Ted joined the insurance industry where he has worked for the past five years. During this period he has dealt with both P&I claims and the placement of business at Lloyd's. He has also been involved with asset protection and ship finance. His academic and professional qualifications involve a First Class BSc (Hons) Maritime Business and Management degree from Liverpool John Moores University, a Law Masters (LLM) in Maritime Law from Southampton University, Membership of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers and Membership of the Nautical Institute.
JOANNE WILLIAMS
Financial Controller
For the last 13 years Joanne has worked as a Financial Administrator in the retail and banking sectors. Prior to joining Seacurus as Financial Controller, Joanne was the Finance Manager at Newcastle Building Society where she was responsible for financial reporting, authorisation of payments, allocation of funds and customer liaison for the third party arm of the business.
STEVE JONES
Risk Analyst
Following a decade as a navigation officer in the merchant navy, Steven Jones graduated from Liverpool John Moores University with a BSc (Hons) in Maritime Studies before moving into fraud investigations and maritime security. He has worked within the Risk Management department of a leading International Group P&I Club and advised a number of high profile shipping companies and organisations on risk and security.
DANIELLE CHAMBERS
Policy Administrator
Before joining Seacurus, Danielle worked within the legal and property sectors for 9 years. During that time she gained significant administrative experience, particularly on the legal side, where she was responsible for providing legal secretarial support and assisting solicitors with case management.
MARIE BROOKE
Office Manager and PA to the Directors
Marie has gained a wealth of experience in administration after previously working in the Motor Trade for 25 years as both Administration Manager and PA to the Company Directors.
